What you'll do

The Electronic Banking Systems Specialist is responsible for the cash management, performance, and daily service of Canvas Credit Union’s ATMs. They will be responsible for managing the ATM vault including ATM cash management, placing daily cash orders, and monitoring cash levels. The specialist will monitor ATM activity, internal and external ATM status alerts, and place service calls as necessary. Additionally, they will be responsible for the lifecycle of Canvas Credit Union’s ATMs and electronic cash recyclers.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of quality service to all internal and external members.
  • Evaluate the daily performance of each machine’s operational services and recommend upgrades and maintenance as needed.
  • Responsible for ATM cash management analysis and creating and placing ATM cash orders, navigating established policies and balancing them with business operational needs.
  • Make recommendations to management for product developments and enhancements to increase machine usage, reliability, and consistency.
  • Maintain efficient daily service for all ATMs and ECRs. Ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Perform ongoing analysis of all terminal activity, transaction volume and operational concerns with a specific strategy devised towards identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct quarterly ATM inspections; ensure ADA, Regulation E and Regulation CC compliance on all ATMs; test functionality and performance.
  • Point of contact for vendors and internal teams regarding ATM issues and updates
  • Maintain communication with our retail teams regarding machine performance and reliability.
  • Work with service providers to quickly identify and resolve service concerns.
  • Complete new installations, upgrades, moves, and deletions with little assistance.
  • Track and report Vendor errors to Director of EBS & Performance.
  • Manage Vendor relationships to encourage cohesion and faster error resolution.
  • Recognize trends among ATMs to alleviate unnecessary service calls and improve machine performance.
  • Identify proper vendor responsibilities to ensure communication is routed appropriately.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine performance issues and resolve them independently using judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Recommend, help develop, and implement new policies and procedures.
  • Manage ECR installations and moves for construction related projects.
  • Engage and support retail movements for machines including but not limited to, ECRs, ATMs, and new builds.
  • Exhibit support for the organization’s goals, values, initiatives, and cost control.
  • Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements.
  • Maintain a master list that contains detailed information about each machine, the functionality, and serial numbers.
  • Follow all safety and security guidelines to properly safeguard member and organization assets.
  • Embrace ongoing education and learn/apply new skills and software applications.
  • Assist the Director of Electronic Banking Systems and Performance with operating requirements and management of special projects.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to explain programs and expectations to others.
  • Ability to work independently and rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to maintain confidences.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado drivers’ license and provide proof of insurance.
  • Pre-employment background review (components include criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, global sanctions, and sex offender).

Education or Formal Training:  High School Diploma or GED is required.           

Experience:  Minimum of 5 years of experience at Canvas or related Credit Union field.

This position has a starting pay range of $23.63-$29.53/hour, and final pay rate will be determined based on experience and internal equity factors.

Working Environment/Physical Activities

High volume, fast-paced office environment with frequent travel.  Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours.  The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines and filing cabinets.  The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.  The position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
