Employment Litigation Associate Attorney (FULLY REMOTE)
Our client is one of the premiere NYC employment law firms. They specialize in sexual harassment and employment discrimination. They deal with very high value cases and are currently looking to expand their remote team.
Ideally, we are looking for a highly motivated associate to support the firm's partners in all aspects of litigation, including depositions, brief writing/legal research and courtroom advocacy. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-5 years of litigation experience. Experience with wrongful terminations & employment discrimination cases a huge plus.
This position is paying a base salary of 120k plus percentage net legal fee.
Responsibilities:
- Represent workers challenging employers' discrimination, harassment, and wage theft in class action and individual litigation.
- Draft mediation statements, default motions, discovery motions and oppositions to dispositive motions
- Assist partner with the preparation and participate in negotiations for private mediations and settlement conferences
- Take and defend depositions of witnesses in a variety of employment discrimination matters and sexual assault cases; prepare witnesses and clients for depositions and cross-examinations.
- Draft state and federal complaints and manage statutory and administrative deadlines
