Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix, quick turn, and ISO 9001 2015 certified sheet metal and structural fabrication facility that uses a variety of equipment such as CNC Fiber Lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and tube lasers to support multiple assembly lines. As a rapid parts manufacturer, our company serves customers in energy, power generation, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace. We operate out of a state of the art 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.


We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with mastery-level knowledge in SolidWorks, Sheet Metal and Structural fabrication to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision engineering, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Establish work instructions, daily tasks, and staffing requirements for each phase of metal fabrication projects, and recruit or assign engineering personnel as needed.
  • Direct and coordinate design engineers, design drafters, tool engineers, and production teams to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the allocated budget.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and tooling necessary for fabrication projects.
  • Monitor the progress of all project through engineering and ensure projects are managed properly in production by engineering staff
  • Mentor and groom a world class engineering workforce
  • Review the status of and modify the schedule projects as required while providing world class customer service
  • Attend meetings internally with all production team members to ensure proper feedback is getting back to the engineering team.
  • Represent Ameritex as required at customer facilities and quality audits.
  • Be the technical resource for engineering and production personnel as problems arise to ensure they are resolved quickly and accurately.
  • Implement and optimize the engineering and estimating processes and technology.
  • Perform other job-related duties and assignments as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with clients to determine project requirements, communicate progress, and proactively resolve conflicts or issues.



Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Preferred)

· Mastery-level proficiency in SolidWorks, with minimum two years of demonstrated experience in complex part and assembly modeling.

· Strong understanding of GD&T principles and experience applying them to technical drawings.

· Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-mix, low-volume fabrication environment.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Excellent knowledge of sheet metal and structural steel manufacturing techniques and processes.

· Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and experience in sheet metal design are a plus.

· Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

WORK AVAILABLITY AND TRAVEL

Must have the ability to work all shift schedules, periodic overtime and be available for periodic weekend work.
