Engineering Manager

Responsibilities for Engineer Manager:


  • As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for designing and developing pressure vessel systems.


  • Design pressure vessels to meet safety, integrity, and customer standards.


  • Manage multiple concurrent engineering and drafting projects.


  • Manage and mentor a staff of employees to meet or exceed goals.


  • Develop processes and procedures to improve group efficiency.


  • Conduct thorough internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with ASME Code, quality standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.


  • The position requires interfacing with inspectors, engineers, project managers, and management.


  • Develops and presents plans, project status updates to management as required.


  • Plans and establishes engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates.


  • Provides technical and engineering cost support to estimating and sales team during bid proposals.


  • Maintain consistent communication with Office and shop personnel. Provide material and information (drawings, paperwork, etc..) as needed to maintain delivery schedule of project. Answer all questions asked in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Participate in weekly production meetings with management to discuss project status.


Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required. PE preferred.


  • 8 years of experience in Petroleum, Petrochemicals, Natural Gas and Mechanical Engineering


  • 3 years of Management experience.


  • Ability to do ASME VIII vessel code calculations using Compress or other software.


  • Ability to perform structural calculations relating to pressure vessels.


  • Knowledge of ASME Sec VIII 8 Div 1 and Div 2, B31.3 codes


  • Ability to work under extreme pressure with strict deadlines.


  • Excellent organizational skills, good motivational skills and excellent problem-solving skills.


  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers in a professional manner


  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.


  • AutoCAD capability preferred but not required.


  • Familiar with RISA and Ansys software’s.
