The Emergency Room Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. He/she provides non-licensed direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patients. He/she assists the healthcare team by providing personal assistance to patients by caring for the patient, equipment and supplies and also by providing clerical and nursing care support services.
Education and Training
High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of phlebotomy training with six (6) months of hire
Certification and Licensure
Current BCLS required.
Skills
Phlebotomy proficiency preferred
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
Computer experience preferred
Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience in a clinical setting. Previous nursing assistant experience.
36 hours per week - night shift
