HCI's largest brand is Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers franchises with 40+ locations throughout the Midwest, Texas, and East Coast. HCI manages three locally owned and operated restaurants in Manhattan and Junction City and offers full-service catering to the central Kansas area. In 2021 HCI added Booth Creek Wagyu, Meatworks of Kansas processing plant in Riley, KS, and Booth Creek Wagyu Retail store in Manhattan. The newest additions were developed in 2023, adding two retail stores, one in Overland Park and Wichita, KS.
Job Description
HCI is now hiring a full-time, office-based Administrative Assistant to work in our Construction and Facilities department at our corporate home office in Manhattan, Kansas. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for interacting with vendors and scheduling maintenance activities, processing orders, and researching disputed invoices.

Responsibilities
- Assist store managers in multiple states by connecting them with repair technicians or other vendors for various projects.
- Ensuring that all projects are driven to completion.
- Maintaining accurate records of projects.
- Procuring necessary supplies online and equipment from our vendors.
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using maintenance planning and scheduling software.
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills
