ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Field Service Technician services, inspects, repairs, and cleans a variety of water storage tanks used in the water industry. The services we provide are critical for municipalities, with tight deadlines, challenging mechanical problems, and an emphasis on going above and beyond for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Use mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshoot and repair tank issues
• Install aftermarket components such as mixers and nozzles
• Complete accurate, thorough inspection of tanks, including photos and descriptions of condition of components
• Coordinate effectively in a team, discussing repair recommendations and resolving problems with supervisor
• Comply with Company policies and procedures
• Enforces all company AND client required safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties assigned as needed
  
  

Competencies:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
• Have a positive attitude that contributes to teambuilding, decision- making, problem solving, and continuous improvements
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Must be willing to work in the field, travel in & out of state when required
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice
• Ability to read and interpret drawings / charts
• Standing for long times required, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrate the ability to reach, work with hands and arms in various positions, stoop, and move under and around equipment
• Must speak and communicate ideas clearly, read with understanding, and write good paragraphs describing equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Field service: 1 year (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Required)
  
  

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
  
  

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Required)
