Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst provides insight and analysis into financial and operational performance. This will include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as required by leadership. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for providing project teams with financial guidance and monthly variance analysis on all financial accounts as well as analyzing variances in key operational metrics. This individual will be a key contributor to the Finance department and a key member of the project teams for important NEFCO and Finance initiatives to ensure there is a clear understanding of upstream and downstream process and financial impacts. This role will ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations and work directly with CFO & Senior analyst on recurring and ad-hoc business analysis, reporting, and financial modeling supporting NEFCO executive leadership team.

Job Duties:
Incumbent will have excellent attention to detail and passion for data modeling and business analytics
Demonstrated strong analytical and Excel skills with ability to manipulate, aggregate, filter, and summarize large data sets into actionable insights
Provide Ad-hoc Financial and Operational Reporting & Analysis for internal customers and functions - by customer, sales rep, product, vendor, GL type, and buyline, etc.
Identify financial performance trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations and insights to management
Manage POS (Point of Sales) reports for key vendors
Manage tracking, reporting, accruals, and payouts of SPIFFs (Sales Program Inventive Funds) for NEFCO sales teams
Partner with IT to transition reports and processes to KORE (new data warehouse software) which includes reconciling data sets from various sources and identifying root causes of any discrepancies
Identify opportunities for process improvement and more efficient methods of collecting, reporting, and analyzing data
Create various reports, dashboards, and rankings for the NEFCO sales teams
Develop knowledge of key systems & software including Eclipse (ERP), Phocas (BI), & Adaptive Planning (Financial consolidation)
Create standard reporting process for analysis of volume, price, mix by product SKU & product type
Revamp Customer Rebate reporting and accrual process to includes projected sales volume / tiers
Review monthly financial statements and assist in monthly close validating data integrity and working to resolve discrepancies booking the necessary journals to ensure data accuracy
Perform variance, trend, and sensitivity analysis based on actual and projected data, in addition to in depth account validations and reconciliations within Adaptive Planning
Assist in development of the 13-week cash forecast using AR and AP ageing
Assist senior analyst with development of annual budget with necessary supporting schedules and growth assumptions tying back to financial plan
Support CFO & Senior Financial analyst with various projects, new reporting, KPI’s, initiatives, audits, & financial modeling
Assist in review of monthly financials performing necessary research and analysis highlighting business drivers and potential opportunities
Improve reporting and analysis of inventory, support purchasing function on development of inventory KPI’s and ageing inventory report by branch, product type, etc.
