Job Title: FX (Foreign Exchange) Trader

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and proactive FX Trader to join our trading desk and execute foreign exchange transactions on behalf of our organization. The FX Trader will play a critical role in analyzing market conditions, executing trades, and managing risk to achieve profitable outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of global financial markets, currency trading strategies, and risk management principles.

Roles And Responsibilities

Monitor global financial markets and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities in foreign exchange markets.
Execute FX trades, including spot transactions, forwards, options, and other derivative products, adhering to trading strategies and risk management policies.
Analyze market trends, technical indicators, and fundamental factors to formulate trading strategies and make informed trading decisions.
Manage trading positions and exposure, adjusting risk levels and portfolio allocations based on market conditions and risk appetite.
Utilize trading platforms and analytical tools to conduct real-time market analysis, price forecasting, and trade execution.
Develop and implement trading algorithms and automated trading strategies to optimize execution efficiency and minimize transaction costs.
Collaborate with research analysts, economists, and quantitative analysts to leverage insights and market intelligence for trading decisions.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, trading guidelines, and internal policies governing FX trading activities.
Monitor and report on trading performance, profitability metrics, and trade execution quality to senior management and stakeholders.
Stay informed about regulatory changes, industry developments, and best practices in FX trading, continuously improving trading strategies and processes.

Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s degree or CFA certification preferred).
Proven experience as an FX Trader, Currency Trader, or similar role with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in FX trading.
Strong knowledge of foreign exchange markets, currency pairs, and trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, FXall).
Proficiency in technical analysis, charting tools, and trading strategies (e.g., carry trade, arbitrage, momentum trading).
Experience with algorithmic trading, quantitative analysis, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is advantageous.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and react quickly to market movements.
Strong risk management skills, including the ability to assess and mitigate trading risks effectively.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings, to accommodate global trading hours.
Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and compliance with regulatory standards in FX trading.
