Summary: The Golf Starter is responsible for providing exceptional service to all customers, members, guests and staff, whether by phone or in person, and upholding the club's operating standards in a professional and courteous manner always.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to all customers, members, guests and staff.
Understand the Sunset Valley Golf Club "Rules and Regulations" and be able to enforce and answer questions regarding them.
Tend to any questions, needs or concerns of patrons.
Ensure patrons begin at their designated tee time.
Ensure patrons play from the proper tees.
Maintain appearance and cleanliness of the facility.
Assist with the security of the building.
Assist with League preparation and special events.
Perform other Park District related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibility.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required of three to six months of golf club, health club or other customer service experience. Must have knowledge and understanding of the game of golf.
Computer Skills: Previous experience with a POS system is strongly desired; at minimum, must have the ability to learn the POS system. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of PC computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
