Group Design Director

We’re looking for a dynamic creative leader with an amazing portfolio of work to direct teams through industry-leading design centric projects, creating brand experiences, from print to digital to fully integrated campaigns. This position requires impeccable design sensibilities, strong conceptual and strategic skills, management and mentoring abilities, proven communication and presentation expertise. This person must also embody our core values of partnership, passion, integrity and courage.

Responsibilities

• Create strong and effective internal partnerships, leading collaboration across integrated teams
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and creating strategic concepts and following through to meticulous execution
• Present ideas and work with team, senior creative personnel and clients Partner across disciplines to develop the strategic intent of projects while considering the audience/customer and the intended goals
• Actively coach and mentor creative talent, helping develop their skills and creative output
  
  

Required Skills

• A commitment to high quality work
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to persuade and motivate clients, engage and inspire collaboration with team members and peers
• Ability to build productive and positive relationships with all internal and external team partners
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• 12 or more years of experience in design
• Three or more years of experience effectively leading a team
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
• Retail and experiential knowledge highly valued
• Based in or open to relocate to Minneapolis
• Ability to travel as needed
