Job Description

The Health Education Facilitator - Bilingual will provide direct health education services as part of the Community Programs & Initiatives team. Education will be delivered in both English and Spanish. This position will schedule and facilitate direct education for school-based sexuality education, parent and caregiver education, and professional development for school and community partners. Position includes updating and maintenance of materials and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain core sexuality education slide decks, including dual language English/Spanish slide decks.
  • Complete scheduling and staffing as needed for education programs.
  • Provide direct teaching of health education in a variety of settings and delivery methods, in English and Spanish.
  • Maintain records of educational events.
  • Work with education and evaluation team to continue to improve systems for education delivery of education and education evaluations.
  • Work with education and communications team on materials for social media and website related to sexuality education.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Health Programs to access trainings and stay up to date on current practices.
  • Support evaluations and data management for health education programs.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or three or more years of experience with sexuality education facilitation and sexual health promotion required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate about program with both experts and nonexperts.
  • Commitment to serve and embrace community driven processes.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Organizational skills: Experience independently planning and facilitating education; excellent attention to detail; ability to establish priorities and react promptly to a large variety of requests and needs, sometimes on short notice.
  • Strong commitment to youth inclusion, specifically regarding LGBTQIA and racial equity in educational settings.
  • Spanish and English facilitation experience strongly preferred.
