This position will have a unique ability to help mold the new payroll HRIS System gaining experience and growth opportunity along the way. This role will have primary responsibility for processing payroll for approximately 200 US employees and will be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of data in the ADP HR/Payroll system including time and attendance data, payroll data and basic employee data. This position will serve as the subject matter expert on the payroll system. Will also be cross-trained in hr/benefits/compensation in order to back-up the HR Director.
Responsibilities
Process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly bonus payrolls.
Handle all post-payroll activities.
Process garnishments, correspond with courts and coordinate with payment service partners.
Process off-cycle and manual checks, stop payments and adjustments to payroll.
Generate reports for distribution to government agencies, internal departments such as Accounting and/or vendors (401k vendor, benefits administration vendor, etc)
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
Manage change request workflow to ensure all employee requests, manager requests (i.e. new hires, transfers/promotions, pay changes, terminations), and payroll transactions (i.e. bonus payments) are processed accurately and timely.
Monitor compliance with internal payroll policies and process guidelines, and escalating issues as needed.
Provide payroll reports and data to auditors as needed
Respond to employment verification and unemployment claims inquiries
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE*
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field is preferred.
Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
Minimum 2 years’ experience running payrolls using ADP Workforce Now
Experience writing custom ADP reports and strong Microsoft Excel skills highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail & problem solving skills
