A Brief Overview

The Supply Chain Implementation Specialist will develop and govern standardized processes, lead project workstreams within the larger program, drive continuous improvement and support the deployment of new systems providing greater efficiencies across Safelite's distribution network.

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for identifying and solving business problems using process improvement methodologies and assisting with coaching and training associates. Other aspects of the job include driving operational effectiveness in the warehouses and distribution centers.


What You Will Do

  • Operational trainer that will participate in a 12–14-month Warehouse Management System (WMS) deployment to DC, warehouse, and store locations.
  • Maintain, deploy Koerber Labor Advantage (LMS) application including conducting time studies and establishing reasonable expectations
  • Train on new Safelite WMS and OMS (Oracle Fusion) applications
  • Validate test scenarios of new applications during UAT phase.
  • Primary trainer for later phase deployment of additional functionality (i.e., labor management, serialization)


Operational Effectiveness and Project Management

  • Responsible for leading projects or workstreams, managing budgets and timelines
  • Identify and document operational standards in the warehouses. Identify opportunities to maximize productivity & reduce waste.
  • Recommend process efficiencies and oversee changes to the facility layout to improve flow and throughput.


Process Improvement Events

  • Assists with process improvement projects (with a small to medium scope) using process improvement methodologies (ex. DMAIC, Kaizen, A3, and JDI's) within one department or one process of a larger workstream.
  • Communication
  • Train new leaders on current process and systems
  • Change champion, re-enforce communications/strategy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineering Preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 4-6 years years’ experience with engineered standards, process improvement and project management Preferred


Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Warehouse Management & Order Management systems experience preferred.
  • OCM experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & critical thinking skills.
  • High credibility/Influencer
  • Highly effective communication skills -- Verbal and Written
  • Decision maker who is driven and can work independently as well as with teams.
  • Proficient with Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, Visio and AutoCad
  • Must be able to travel up to 75%
