The employee will assist with research and extension activities as directed by the supervisor. Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

This position is located at the North Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Verona, MS.

April 2024.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The employee will assist with research and extension activities as directed by the supervisor. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Operate and manage equipment and supplies used in lab environments
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment
  • May assist with research projects
  • Knowledge of laboratory protocols
  • Monitor inventory of supplies
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old; if under 18, written permission from school administration (if during school hours) and from a parent/guardian is required.
  • Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license.
  • Applicants must consistently follow instructions, work responsibly, and be trustworthy.
