Internship – Web Applications and DB

Job Description

IR Saxonburg team seeks an intern with experience in web app and database design who is looking to intern with an innovative development team to develop code and design the layout and functionality of web applications and database content on a specific project. The intern will gain real-world software engineering experience at a thriving company as well as experience and training in project management and execution skills that will set this person apart in future career opportunities.

We frequently work in small teams to solve problems and explore new technologies, and we are constantly learning from one another and striving to grow as a group. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Gather and refine requirements for a specific project based on technical needs.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices, applying emerging technologies/industry trends into operations and activities.
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Integrate data from and into various back-end services and databases.
• Collaborate with web designers to match intent of visual design.
  
  

Requirements

• Computer Science or Network Engineering major
• Ability to work creatively in multi-disciplinary teams and strive for innovative solutions
• Experience in web application development in C#, .NET, or equivalent development environment as well as SQL or equivalent database experience a must
• Strong analytical skills a major plus
• Citizen or permanent resident
