Inventory Control Analysts are responsible for the receiving, shipping and warehouse operations and coordinating activities with the other departments in a manner which will result in meeting production schedules and customer delivery dates consistent with the Company policy and plant objectives.

100% Onsite position

The primary duties of an Inventory Control Analyst include:

  • Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and end-of-run inventory counts.
  • Review daily and weekly schedules to ensure materials are available and no production downtime is incurred.
  • Ensure accuracy of warehouse on-hand inventory, including proper handling of potentially damaged products via the HFI procedure.
  • Process daily receiving and shipping activities.
  • Report potential problems to the appropriate manager and mitigate them before they escalate.
  • Work with the Senior Vendor Manager to optimize OTIF % and troubleshoot issues.
  • Validate material consumption and review scrap transactions for components; identify and pursue opportunities to reduce scrap through discussions with the operations team.
  • Assist the Senior Vendor Manager in facilitating Quarterly Business Reviews with vendors to improve performance and expectations.
  • Work with management to drive operational improvements in focused areas and fully support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform multiple month-end closing tasks and review month-end closing transactions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Core Proficiencies and Skills

  • Familiar with ERP systems, supplier lead times, and production cycle times.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication, with a strong emphasis on precise and comprehensive documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to learn and maintain extensive knowledge of products, processes, and services.
  • Understands the scheduling process based on available inventory, priority requirements, and transit times, utilizing software such as Excel and other systems to ensure continuous production flow and on-time delivery for customers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyze large amounts of data and make informed decisions to ensure no impact on production due to material availability.
  • Comfortable with change and adept at managing competing demands.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production, Materials, or Planning is required.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Candidates with equivalent professional experience will be considered in place of formal education.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desired; however, proficiency in other ERP systems will also be considered.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and/or equivalent software is required
