The Inventory Control Planner will perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process re-engineering.
Principal Accountabilities
Ensures tools or equipment are available to meet production or maintenance needs.
Established process for storing, cleaning, maintaining and tracking tools, measuring devices or other equipment.
Ensures tools withdrawals and usage are appropriately recorded.
Request maintenance or replacement of damaged or worn tools.
May interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Creates, maintains, and monitors master schedules according to customer and manufacturing needs to ensure efficient operations.
Schedule equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
