Lead the Jewish inmates in spiritual services and religious instruction
Recommend to the Supervisory Chaplain "special" religious holiday needs observed by this faith group
Lead the Jewish inmates in the spiritual teachings and knowledge of their holy texts, as well as other literature pertaining to this faith group
Make recommendations to the Supervisory Chaplain in developing ways to ensure that the dietary needs of this group are met
Make recommendations to the Supervisory Chaplain in purchasing supplies and materials for this faith group to practice and enhance their spiritual growth
Inform the Supervisory Chaplain of literature, materials and current trends developing with this faith group
Provide information to the Supervisory Chaplain in teaching Jewish customs and traditions to Correctional Service staff to ensure that food items necessary for religious holidays are not discarded during random searches of inmate's personal property
Develop ways to determine the spiritual and religious needs of this group
Ensure that all elements of the total experience of worship are provided for while leading the worship experience
Make recommendations to the Supervisory Chaplain and Correctional Staff for providing inmates the opportunity to practice their faith consistent with the security and orderly running of the institution
The candidate shall provide Jewish services utilizing only the materials needed to perform the service in a correctional setting
The candidate is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty. The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing

Education & Qualifications:
Shall possess at a minimum, a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in some form of religious studies.
Shall possess an ordination certificate or like document verifying their recognition as a clergy or spiritual leader.
Shall have experience as a Rabbi in the clinical setting.
