Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: 7370 Merritt Park Dr, Manassas, VA 20109
Duration: 06 MONTHS.
Timings: MON-FRI 8AM - 5PM
Responsibilities
Job Description:
Review and enter daily production and consumption records.
Verify monthly raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory cycle counts for financial accuracy.
Monitor inventories and oversee paperwork approval, tracking, and filing processes to ensure accuracy.
Analyze manufacturing variances and identify discrepancies in routings or bills of materials to maintain product cost accuracy.
Assist in the analysis and roll-out of standard costs, ensuring accurate standard costs for all active raw materials and intermediate items.
Participate in the annual budget process by developing standard cost rates.
Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting or Manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Sage or JDE.
Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet functions such as Pivot Tables, Lookups, and Formulas.
Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.
