Job Description

is in the process of building a large program team to support infrastructure projects globally for a large bank. Initial step is to build out the team of Project Managers that will be assigned a set of projects and responsible to lead these projects for on time and on budget project completion using standard engineering methodologies.

There will be weekend migration work, expectation is that each team member will balance out their overall schedule to maintain the 40-hour work week. It is required for the resource to have the flex work schedule to support implementation work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with various bank personnel and third-party providers to manage end to end projects dealing with bank network and infrastructure.
• Manages one or more cross-functional projects/engagements of medium to high complexity.
• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
• Works as a team member on projects responsible for completing basic project management tasks.
• Ensure adherences to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
• Works from detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports.
• Facilitates standard process, procedures, and controls.
• Attends project/engagement meetings and is responsible for project task tracking.
• Communicates to internal project/engagement team members.
  
  

Preferred Experience And Attributes

• Experience with projects in one or more technologies and multiple functions.
• Must have Ms-Project, and be able to use.

• Must have Network and Infrastructure Background:
• Conversant in how a Network and Infrastructure is delivered:
• Understands Circuit order (Non-DIA) processing with such vendors as ATT, Comcast, others.
• Understands what a DMARC is and what a LMP (Last mile provider) is and how this infrastructure works.
• Understands delivery and set-up of a new circuit, how it is connected and turned-up.
• Understands what a router is and where it is placed in the infrastructure

• Understands basic network equipment and its use (IE: Core and UA switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, Waps, Servers, etc.) and how it fits in the infrastructure.
• Understands Network diagram the flow of connections.

• Understands basic Datacenter (DC) concepts:
• How DC Operations work (general)
• Fiber/Copper connections
• Equipment racks, (ie: Is there enough space in a rack? Will new racks be needed?)
• Power requirements, (ie: Adding new equipment, Is there enough power?)
• HVAC – (knowing the questions to ask to support new equipment)
  

Requirements

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related discipline. (Or equivalent work experience.)
• 2+ years managing projects.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
