Job Description
The Jr Sales & Marketing Analyst entry-level contract position is responsible for collecting, manipulating, analyzing, and presenting sales and marketing information with a mission to deliver reliable and actionable insights.
This is an exciting and ambitious role for a collaborative, data-driven analyst with an assertive spirit. We currently operate robust reporting systems and efforts with plans to further optimize and expand them with the support of this new role.
Responsibilities
Generate in-depth analyses and reporting based on multiple data sources to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts in a multi-divisional global environment. This may include developing, maintaining, and presenting data, dashboards, reports, and analyses to support the following:
Business analysis related to verticals, markets, applications, products, sales and partner activities, accounts, competitors, and more
Sales inventory, pricing, and backlog reporting
Spend, forecasting, pipeline activities, point-of-sale, and overall performance to plan
Responses to analytics questions and requests from teams, departments, and key stakeholders
Marketing campaign, conversion, efficiency, and closed-loop attribution performance
Content engagement, social efforts, paid search, SEO, website, and ecommerce insights
Assistance with creation, maintenance, and/or review and troubleshooting of custom metrics and variables, tracking tags, scripts, and events, dashboards and reports, data flows/architecture, and data connections/APIs
Project management, training, and consultation efforts internally and in collaboration with teams, vendors, and agencies
Additional areas of responsibility as needed
Support data updates and existing connections across multiple platforms (Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery, Fivetran, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics 365/Datamarts, Episerver/Optimizely, Power BI, SAP, Data Warehouse, Agility/Pentaho, and others)
Support A/B testing setup and analytics, form/page tracking and reporting, and marketing automation technical administration
Research and support new tools, technologies, strategies, & processes designed to optimize tracking, data flows, analytics, data governance, usability, and performance
To be ready to take on this role, we would love if you had the following:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in data, reporting, and analytics functions working with enterprise-scale environments (both B2B and B2C experience preferred)
Special focus on Sales, Marketing, and Business data or equivalent certifications and training
Hands-on experience with data models, structures, normalization, manipulation, ETL workflows, and relational database concepts, including SQL querying
Strong proficiency in Power BI, data warehouse platforms, and Microsoft Dynamics
Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
Additional experience that would be nice to have but is not required:
Experience with Python and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
Experience with CRM development, workflows, integrations, and data connections
Knowledge of Marketo or other marketing automation platforms
Industry/product knowledge related to FLIR or a general understanding of thermal and visible-light imaging, video analytics, and measurement, diagnostic, and detection systems
Basic understanding of Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Google Cloud Platform/Big Query, Looker Studio, HTML, and JavaScript
Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Azure
