Part-Time - Monday to Wednesday - 8am to 5pm (24 hours per week only)
Job Description:
APRN - Advanced and specialized clinical medical work, focus on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Refugees Health, Family Planning, and Women’s Health.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all screening and immunizations campaigns as deemed necessary by the Nursing and Medical Directors and provides immunizations
Initiate appropriate therapies consistent with the diagnosis.
Utilize expertise to educate the patients, their families, staff and community.
Collect, interpret and record health data from patients presenting in the STIs, Family Planning, Women’s Health, and Refugees Health Clinics, including breast and pelvic exams,
Placement and removal of intra uterine devices (IUDs), provision of all forms of contraception methods within the boundaries of the State of Florida mandates.
Perform annual physical exams for uninsured patients and comprehensive physical evaluations of refugees.
Identifies and evaluates medical conditions and illnesses.
Initiates diagnostic laboratory tests and evaluates all results in a timely manner.
Advanced knowledge of nursing practice, familiarity with Title X guidelines.
Requirements:
State of Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license and BLS certification
2 years of experience performing uncomplicated surgical procedures
2 years of experience administering prescribed medications
2 years of experience performing complete physical appraisals of patients and evaluating illnesses
2 years of experience initiating diagnostic laboratory tests and evaluating results
2 years of experience compiling and evaluating medical histories and other clinical and laboratory data
