Position Summary
Work within product engineering and manufacturing to continually improve product reliability; troubleshoot, diagnose and repair circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies, while providing circuit design and construction enhancements; support manufacturing activities with troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise; assist with new and existing product reliability including circuit analysis, schematic design, layout, building prototypes, and testing of circuits, circuit boards and assemblies.
Key Responsibilites
Perform electrical engineering tasks in direct support of new product development, product feature and reliability enhancements, and ongoing production
Participate in the design of new or modified electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies, build and test prototypes
Support manufacturing activities with high level expertise as needed
Requirements
CAPABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
Strong familiarity with Linux and tools
Strong electrical analysis, testing, and troubleshooting skills
Digital and microcontroller-based logic
Basic analog and data acquisition circuitry
Communications and networking
Battery related circuits
Power supplies and power conversion
Electro-mechanical assemblies
Experience with EMC testing and mitigation techniques
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to work both independently and within team environments
Fluent in various CAD and electronic documentation systems
Experienced with working with outside vendors and design/fabrication contractors
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an equivalent capacity
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
