Lead Paralegal

JCW is working with a midsized national law firm to hire a lead paralegal to support on public records requests, working closely with public agency clients.

This role is fully remote, but candidates must be in California.

Your day-to-day will include: analyzing public records requests, working with attorneys to respond to records requesters, keeping track of deadlines to ensure public agency clients will provide records on time, conducting legal research on the CPRA, and more.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience as a paralegal.
• Experience with E-Discovery/electronic document review is required.
• Experience with the Public Records Act is required.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or an affidavit regarding work experience sufficient to comply with California Business and Professions Code Sections 6450-6456
