Life Insurance TPA Oversight Manager

This role will have responsibility for Life Insurance TPA Oversight Manager of new business, service and the policies, procedures and strategies required for efficient administration of life policies. The role also supports both discretionary and production support related to projects with analysis, requirements, and testing. Successful incumbent will partner closely with operational teams, product, compliance, marketing, and key vendor partners.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads the establishment of policies, procedures and related to the efficient administration of life policies

• Ensures timely and accurate processing of annuities by monitoring service standards and work with TPA leadership to adjust workflows and resources to meet performance

• Drives continual improvement of the Customer Experience leveraging effective quality and audit controls

• Analyzes system problems and customer impact of business processes and develops recommendations for remediation and customer communication

• Assist in the handling of exceptions, escalations and complicated technical cases while weighing the company philosophy, compliance, business risks, tax and regulatory ramifications and administrative costs

• Supports special projects and system enhancements providing the Operational Business Analyst with information needed to include detailed subject matter expertise, research, and analysis

• Serves as a technical writer for Prosperity Life and the TPA teams by creating custom procedures, talking points, and customer correspondence. Facilitates the mailing and archival of correspondence in conjunction with project related remediation efforts.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in all types of life products and TPA oversight management

• Demonstrated knowledge of operations and process improvement along with strong business acumen and the ability to translate business plans into actionable solutions

• Extensive knowledge of term, whole life, universal life, variable life, and final expense

• Experience with risk management (audit, regulatory, legal, etc.)

• Experience analyzing, measuring and evaluating workflows

• Experience with insurance administrative systems and with point-of-sale technologies such as Apptical, and Firelight

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels of the organization

• Ability to effectively interact/interface with external parties – agents, distributors, customers, and vendors

• Tactful and professional, with the ability to influence others

• Ability to influence strong critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively problem solve

• Ability to work in a complex and innovative environment
