The 96th Test Wing (96TW), headquartered at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), is host to a wide range of activities that support all services, multiple Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, Contractors, and Allied Nations. The 96TW, under the command of AFTC, is the T&E center for Air Force air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems, Command and Control systems, and Air Force Special Operations Command systems. The Wing provides expert evaluation and validation of the performance of systems throughout the design, development, acquisition, and sustainment process to ensure the warfighter has technologically superior, reliable, maintainable, sustainable and safe systems. The 96th Test Wing performs DT&E across the complete system life cycle for a wide variety of customers including: Air Force Systems Program Offices, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), logistics and product centers; major commands; other DoD services and United States (US) Government agencies (Department of Transportation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), etc.); foreign military sales; and private industry. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL. Qualis Corporation is hiring a Linux System Administrator (Level III) to provide Technical Support as a System Administrator for the 96 Range Control Squadron (96 RNCS).
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration and operation of Linux computer systems in a multi-/system server HPC environment
Install and build system images and upgrade systems as required within short timelines
Comprehend and interpret requirements in order to build supporting IT checklists
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of security patches on Production, Integrations, and Development systems
Maintain system security across the environment in coordination with organizations security requirements and policies
Ensure local services are reliable (account management, storage arrays, disaster recover, backups, etc.)
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Provide cybersecurity support for application development, planning, network implementation, systems integration, communication support, computer-communication maintenance, asset management and security controls
Provides test area support with collecting, controlling, documenting, disseminating, and preserving IS physical/logical layout and configuration
Monitors and documents system changes in accordance with the Configuration Management Policy
Assist the government in producing, maintaining and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), System Security Plans (SSP) and maintaining Authority to Operate documentation
Development, implementation and updating of Information Management Plans
Must have experience with compliance of DoD Security and Technical Implementation Guidelines, policies and procedures as they apply to systems baseline configurations
Provide information assurance support to the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with 3-10 years of experience
Must have experience with Linux operating system and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python or Perl). Prefer candidate to be Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

Experience using VMware virtualization with NetApp storage appliances
Knowledgeable of standard networking principles and practices
Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) required
Must be compliant with DoD 8140 with Security + certification
Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and apply effective solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction
Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties
Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
Highly sought after Red Hat Identity Management experience
Security Clearance
Must have an ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret
