Position: Logistics Analyst/Order Management

Location: Morton IL 61550 (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months, likely to extend

Client Industry: Industrial Machinery Manufacturing

Pay Range: $25.00/hour


Job Description:

Summary:

  • The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule.
  • A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.


Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

  • As a Logistics Analyst on the Client Logistics EPC team, you’ll scope, design, and operate day-to-day services and coordinate problem resolution with both internal and external business partners.

  • What this role makes it different than other teams is that EPC is all in-house and have exposure to procurement, contracts, orders, customer service (inter-departments). The skillset you receive in this role is wider than other roles and teams at Client.


Typical task breakdown:

  • Transacting day to day order management / supply chain operations
  • Monitor data quality and master data of applicable systems
  • Drives order management / work queue processes with Service Providers.
  • Develops processes and adherences to transportation standards
  • Participation in process improvement projects within internal and external customers


Interaction with team:

  • Global team (Morton, India, Europe), independent work


Work environment:

  • Office


Education & Experience Required:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
  • 3+ years experience in Transportation and/or Logistics


Technical Skills:

(Required)

  • Experience with Microsoft based applications, PowerPoint, Excel and Word (specifically Excel application functionality experience with data analysis, V Lookups, and pivot tables to make data driven decisions)
  • Experience with SAP


(Desired)

  • Experience with CMOPS, MACH1, GT Nexus, TIS, TVS, DOCS, and Power BI
