What You Will Do…
Perform skilled & semi-skilled maintenance tasks
Minor installation & repair of plumbing equipment, electrical equipment (e.g., light fixtures, electrical outlets, switches, motors, electrical circuits)
Building maintenance work (alteration &/or repair to buildings, prepare surfaces for painting, painting, physically move office furniture from one area to another)
Remove snow & ice from walkways & parking lot (shovel, blower, plow)
You will be required to use, and to be comfortable on ladders
Need to be able to lift 50 lbs.
Starting hourly pay of $19.00/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 3.5 years of service, with an end salary of $20.92/hr.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: As an “essential” employee you may be required to respond to weather related events (e.g., snow, wind damage, etc.) outside of your normal work hours (after 5:00PM, weekends, holidays). May work evening shift; may be exposed to high & low temperatures; may be exposed to weather.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in maintenance repair work (e.g., basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment); in Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry only, applicants must have successfully completed the mandated basic firefighter/introduction to fire behavior course (S-130/S-190); in accordance with section 124.11 (B) (2) of revised code, Director Of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination. Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
