Summary

The Manager, TPL Global Forwarding position will directly drive new sales, and lead current expansion and retention programs for Glovis' clients that operate on a global level. This person will enthusiastically represent our current 3PL portfolio of logistic solutions spanning ocean, air, intermodal, trucking, W&D, and customs brokerage. The position will be delegated leadership development assignments and projects that, when successfully delivered, will materially grow revenue and be evaluated for career progression.

Compensation

$90,000-$105,000 (Upon Compensation Study)

Responsibilities

  • 3PL Sales & Marketing:
    • Lead as a sales hunter by continuously executing and evaluating direct sales action plans and delivering results
    • Manage the general and overall sales and marketing activities of at least one global account and several national or regional accounts with moderate to high degree of responsibility for success
    • Develop own and direct subordinates' annual sales quotes for geographic and customer territories with expected volume and profit for existing and new products offerings across ocean, air, OTR, W&D, and other complementary logistics modes
    • Effectively identify and replenish a pipeline of RFP/RFQ's sourced from targeted customers and industries, and leverage company resources to respond in timely and efficient manner
    • Assist Americas region with creating annual sales and gross-profit plans for matrixed sales organizations
    • Effective user and champion of company provided CRM to manage sales cycle, report sales funnel, and close sales in appropriately managed priority
  • Business Development:
    • Use current referral and relationship networks and establish new ones to build robust sales funnel
    • Open opportunities to expand customer base and opportunities within CPG, Industrial Products and other non-automotive sectors not typically associated with Hyundai Motors
    • Investigate, via primary and secondary research, and propose compelling logistics solutions to customers by exploring their specific needs, and anticipating new ones
    • Continuously explore and find favorable conditions to leverage Hyundai Glovis innovations as part of customer solutions
    • Explore and participate in creating novel, repeatable sales solutions such as newly created strategic supplier relationships, mutual beneficial customer partnerships and other potential corporate development activities
  • Strategic Related Activities serving primarily as the "Voice of the Customer":
    • Participate in the continuous improvement of service delivery across all logistics modes by interacting with key organizational stakeholders (e.g., customer support, operations, product management, pricing, procurement, headquarters)
    • Provide insights and engage in external and internal facing initiatives to further elevate Hyundai Glovis' brand in the marketplace as a leading 3PL provider

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to track record of annual sales success ranging from the high single to low double digit millions of dollars within the logistics industry required
  • Knowledge of direct working relationship with customer and suppliers that have international presence and cultures required
  • Negotiation planning, positioning, and execution experience required
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability and success managing cross matrixed resources to configure and deliver implementable solutions and hand over to customer service, operations, & finance
  • Prospecting, sale funnel, and account management using CRM application(s) or structured selling and customer engagement tools
  • Intermediate skills in the following: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Hs Diploma/GED Required
  • 7 - 10 Years of Experience in Domestic or International Logistics Required
    • 2 Years of Indirect Experience Required
  • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
