Employment Type – Part Time

Work Hours (Shift) – The part time position is flexible. Can be 8 hour Monday & Tuesday or a few hours a day during the week.

1 st shift is 7:30-3:30 and 2 nd shift is 2:30-12:30

Starting Pay – $20-$25/hr Depends on Experience

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience

The Grinder Material Handler performs precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding on a variety of welded assemblies and is responsible for the movement of necessary inventory and parts to and from the weld department.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and inspect the machine.
• Select the proper wheeling and tooling for each workpiece.
• Review blueprints and other detailed schematics to ensure that you cut or sharpen materials or tools to the exact specifications required.
• Using grinders and superfinishing machinery to complete customer orders.
• Performing final inspections to ensure there are no defects in the customer's orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
• Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accuracy of machined parts
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Assemble and disassemble tooling for machining operations
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a manual grinding or similar role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
