Under the supervision of the Controller, we are looking for a General accounting professional with demonstrated experience in general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Inventory review/audit) cost and manufacturing experience is a plus. Proven analytical and communication skills. Demonstrated ERP experience, we use Microsoft AX. Works independently as well as in a team setting, will communicate with our engineers operations and sales personnel. The general accountant must possess accounting skills that have been gained through education and experience.
Accounting:
Assist in all phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and the closing process
Reconcile and prepare journal entries.
Timely processing of accounts payable and working with vendors on any billing discrepancies
Assist on the accounts receivable side with customer inquiries.
Help perform month end close activities and journal entries.
Assist in preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements and annual reporting.
Inventory reconciliation, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation.
Participation and analysis, cycle counting program.
Identifies improvements for internal processes and controls.
Contribute in answering questions from annual external audit.
Ad hoc analyses and projects, as needed.
Required Competencies:
Working knowledge of ERP manufacturing system
Advanced Microsoft Office skills strong in Excel.
Excellent communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and computer skills required.
Ability to interface with members of other departments and corporate staff.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Advanced degree and/or related certification a plus
3+ years of demonstrated Accounting/Finance experience.
