Position Specific Responsibilities Alce su Voz at Wichita State seeks to hire a Media Director starting in July 2024. The Media Director will manage the initiative’s bilingual social media, website, videography projects, and graphic design creation and dissemination, supervising graduate and undergraduate students and maintaining regular communication with the program director, program managers, and the Wichita State University Media Resources Center. This individual will work 20 hrs./week during regular business hours. Summary of Responsibilities Manages the initiative’s bilingual social media, website, videography projects, and graphic design creation and dissemination. Essential Functions Manages the planning, design, translation, review, and dissemination processes for social media graphics. Supervises graduate and undergraduate student production and dissemination of graphics and reels. Communicates with program manager and translator/editor and team leads. Plans and implements marketing strategies. Produces and disseminates press releases. Serves as primary contact for media inquiries. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field Preferred Education Three (3) years of experience in social media development and analytics or related field, with one (1) year of experience in a leadership role Preferred Experience Experience using WordPress and Adobe Premiere Pro Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong leadership and organizational skills Ability to direct integrated marketing campaigns including social media Skills in media production in areas such as film and graphic design Literacy skills in both Spanish and English Excellent oral and written communication skills In-depth knowledge of social media marketing strategies Licenses, Certificates and Registrations None Sponsorship Sponsorship No, due to budget constraints, the University will not sponsor applicants for employment authorization for this position.
