Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Extract Specialist with extensive experience in MEDITECH Expanse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in writing and managing data extracts according to our company’s data specifications. This position is vital for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data extracts, which are essential for our operations and decision-making processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and Write Data Extracts: Create detailed and accurate data extracts from MEDITECH Expanse in alignment with company data specifications.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with data analysts, IT staff, and other stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and ensure the extracts align with business needs.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy and Integrity: Perform rigorous testing and validation of data extracts to maintain their accuracy and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Identify and resolve issues related to data extraction processes efficiently.
  • Document Processes: Maintain clear and comprehensive records of data extraction processes for future reference and compliance purposes.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Handle and protect patients’ protected health information (PHI) in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.


Qualifications·

  • Proven experience with MEDITECH Expanse, specifically in data extraction.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, data structures, and data standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with data validation and testing processes.
  • Ability to write & troubleshoot SQL code & design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, & constraints.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
  • Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
