Morning Shuttle Monitor

Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school, seeks part-time Morning Shuttle Monitor at the DC and Bethesda, MD campus.The Morning Shuttle Monitor is primarily responsible for supervising school age students on the campus shuttle from the Lower School in Bethesda to the DC Campus and back, hours being 7:00AM-9:00AM.

Key Responsibilities

On the shuttle, it is the responsibility of the monitor to:

  • Mark attendance on clipboard
  • Escort students safely onto the shuttle bus.
  • Ensure all students are seated and engaged in safe activities for the duration of the ride Check to make sure students are in their correct seating arrangements
  • As students leave the shuttle on the DC campus, check for trash and students to ensure the shuttle is empty and ready for the next students to board and mark that bus is clear on the shuttle log.
  • On the Bethesda Campus, check Middle and Upper School students in on attendance sheet
  • On the DC Campus, check Lower School students in on attendance sheet
  • Ensure all students are seated and engaged in safe activities for the duration of the ride Check to make sure students are in their correct seating arrangements
  • As students leave the shuttle on the MD campus, check for trash and students to ensure the shuttle is empty and ready to return to Coughlin.
  • mark that bus is clear on the shuttle log.
  • On friday, scan the weeks attendance logs for the schools records
  • Other duties as assigned by Auxiliary Programs Bethesda Campus Coordinator.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 and have experience supervising children preferably in a camp or after school setting.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate $18.00-$22.00. Hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications.
