Overview:

Join Brooksource and support the leading IT agency in Virginia as an experienced Network Consultant. This role is crucial for assessing and verifying information provided by Verizon to ensure its accuracy and fairness. You will play a pivotal role in supporting VITA’s network infrastructure and security projects, contributing to the technological advancement of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Architecture: Develop and implement network topologies, including SDWAN, BGP routing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Network Security: Ensure robust network security and support future security projects.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues using tools like Wireshark and network performance monitoring software.
• Fact-Checking: Assess and verify the accuracy of information provided by Verizon.
• Documentation: Create detailed network documentation, including design plans and configurations.
• Collaboration: Work with IT professionals, including system administrators and cybersecurity experts, to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional IT experience within networking.
• Proven experience in network design, security, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable in SDWAN, BGP routing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical expertise in networking.
• Ability to work independently and verify information accurately.

Plus’:

• Familiarity with Verizon's infrastructure.
• Understanding of ThousandEyes monitoring.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP).
