Job Summary/Description:

The Technical Producer operates the Grass Valley Ignite automation system for newscasts, commercial productions, and special projects. Excels in supporting all other aspects of live newscast production, including operating teleprompter, and handheld, jib, and gimbal cameras. Maintains the highest quality production standards. The Technical Producer is a positive team player with a passion for broadcast media.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Executes newscasts using Grass Valley Ignite Automation System and builds functionality within that system.
  • Codes rundowns in ENPS.
  • Supports all studio operations, including operating teleprompter and handheld, jib, and gimbal cameras.
  • Communicates effectively with team members in the newsroom, as well as other departments to accomplish all station objectives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Completion of high school. Bachelor's degree in broadcast television or media preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a live broadcast television environment with hands-on control room experience.
  • Experience operating and maintaining automated newscast production systems.
  • Experience operating handheld, jib, and gimbal cameras.
