Our Veterinary Aid Nurses play a crucial role in providing an amazing experience for both clients and pets when they contact our clinics for care. You'll be one of the first points of contact for our patients when they call or email, so you'll use your hospitality skills and tact to ensure our clients receive exceptional customer service and assistance during non-traditional business hours.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (overnight)
Key Responsibilities
Triage phone calls regarding patient concerns and determine the best course of action based on symptoms
Approve medication requisitions through online portals
Review lab work to ensure diagnostic results are communicated to clients
Respond to a high volume of incoming emails
Utilize Zendesk and Vetspire for call management, email communication, and note-taking
Communicate effectively with our in-clinic and virtual teams using Slack
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a veterinary technician
Ability to work from home with reliable access to a functional desktop computer or laptop capable of handling multiple programs and browser tabs simultaneously, as well as high-speed internet (at least 50 Mbps)
A quiet and distraction-free environment to allow focused client conversations during 10-hour shifts
High level of comfort with typing, navigating multiple computer programs, and speaking on the phone
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
