Operations Manager

De Soi, co-founded by global popstar Katy Perry, is a fast-growing startup that makes sparkling, ready-to-drink non-alcoholic apéritifs. While our small but mighty team work out of a Los Angeles, Playa Vista WeWork office, we have gained national recognition (and major retailers!). Our non-alcoholic apéritifs were created to bring people together and promote personal and social well-being. From natural adaptogens like reishi mushroom and lion’s mane to culinary botanicals like dates and yuzu, De Soi blends premium, nourishing plant tonics with modern storytelling to redefine celebration for the wellness mindset.

De Soi is seeking an analytical, strategic and execution-focused Manager, Operations. This position will lead projects including manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment and supply & demand planning to support our ambitious growth plans. The ideal candidate has a background in strategy and operations, preferably at high-growth startups, is analytical and data-driven. Above all, we are looking for someone who learns quickly, can operate with high autonomy, and is eager to make a deep and focused commitment to building a growing brand.

Reporting to the Director, Product & Operations, the Manager, Operations will lead the operations team through, including (but not limited to) the following responsibilities:

• Own supply chain logistics while scaling and streamlining our growing company, including vetting suppliers, procuring raw materials, and identifying areas of improvement in the development of ours finished goods.
• Manage co-manufacturing partners and production run planning including coordination of production timelines, ingredients, freight, and packaging.
• Manage day-to-day relationship with our third party logistics provider and trouble shoot fulfillment related needs with the sales and digital teams.
• Support demand and supply planning, working closely with finance, sales and digital teams to optimize inventory planning and management.
• Develop Operations SOPs and maintain meticulous record keeping for key workstreams..
• Quarterback new operations initiatives as they arise (e.g. new flavor launches, new co-packer relationships, new wholesale account partnerships, and so much more!).

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-7 years experience in a similar role at a high-growth startup or relevant setting
• Proficient with excel - you have experience using excel to drive data driven decisions, stay organized, and present analysis.
• A ‘firefighter’ - you thrive in a busy, high-pressure environment and are able to re-prioritize time-critical tasks on the fly, with the flexibility and mindset to deal with regularly changing tasks.
• Process-driven with a razor sharp attention to detail - you sweat the details and take care in your work so that you deliver to a consistently excellent standard.
• Proactive - you take responsibility to get things done and are willing to roll up your sleeves.
• Intellectually curious - you’re analytical and excited about problem solving with others in a fun and dynamic team.
• Innovative - you have an ongoing passion to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to deliver bottom-line results. Must be a change agent.
• The ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and be scrappy enough to intelligently work through obstacles on the growth path.

• Hybrid: We work out of a WeWork office in Playa Vista. Our full team works together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays but works remote Monday / Wednesday / Friday.
