PeopleSoft Functional Analyst

Both are hybrid/on-site work schedules in the downtown Houston, TX

One is a Functional PeopleSoft Analyst, more like a Business Analyst where they are going to work as a liaison within the business units and the ideal candidate must have HEAVY GL and Accounting experience.

This is a must have skillset and candidates can’t have experience listed on their resume where they just mention “and General Ledger” on their resume.

They must truly be a GL/Accounting expert, so the candidates will need to have that explained out on their resume of experience.

They also need a Technical PeopleSoft Developer, they need to be super strong Technically as a PeopleSoft 9.2 Developer with the technical hands-on experience with that GL/Accounting background.

Summary

The PeopleSoft Functional Analyst will act as a liaison between IS and the various functional area’s that utilize the PeopleSoft Financials systems. The resource will ideally have cross functional skills across multiple PeopleSoft Financials modules but with a focus primarily on supporting the General Ledger function within PeopleSoft and as such will need to have a very strong accounting background and experience in nVision reporting.

Duties

• Maintain configurations and perform monthly processing of Equitization, Consolidation, Revaluation, and Translation (multi-book TWL)
• Provide user support for General Ledger business processes (journal entry, journal upload, allocations, Standard JE's, etc.)
• Develop and Maintain nVision reports and PS Queries.
• Process and Maintain Report Books.
• Troubleshoot GL processes and reports.
• Chartfield maintenance.
• Assist in supporting day to day activities of PeopleSoft Financials user base.
• Design and implement major/minor system enhancements in support of business functions.
• Elicit end user business requirements and accurately translate/ incorporate into base system design documentation.
• Assists in communicating major/minor enhancements, bug-fixes and coordinating with other support personnel to ensure seamless rollout of new functionality to internal customers.
• Provide first and second level functional support for internal customers to meet pre-defined application SLAs.
• Collaborate with and apprise relevant IS peers of critical project and end-user issues, and status of ongoing projects, and work effectively towards department and corporate goals.
• Perform other related duties as required.
  
  

Requirements

• Very strong accounting back ground with at least 5+ years of GL functional support experience.
• Strong nVision skills.
• PeopleSoft 9.2 experience.
• Good SQL knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• The ability to support multiple modules in the PeopleSoft Financials and Supply chain space.
