Plant Finance Manager

Job Summary: As the Finance Manager at Winland Foods Plant, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the plant's operations. This includes budgeting, reporting, analysis of financial results, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager partners with the Plant Manager to analyze operational performance of the plant and identify strategies to optimize performance. You will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts for the plant.
  • Analyze financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate inventory reporting.
  • Conduct profitability analysis for various product lines and initiatives.
  • Monitor and control plant operating expenses.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cost optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with Department leads to analyze production costs and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with company policies and GAAP standards.
  • Maintain plant control environment.
  • Coordinate with auditors for annual financial audits.
  • Stay updated with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to evaluate investment opportunities and projects.
  • Assess financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8 years) in Accounting/Finance, preferably in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
