Job Summary:

Oversee all manufacturing operations and physical assets of the Company. Focus workforce on Quality Improvement and OEE, driving performance efficiencies, ensuring quality goals are met, and supporting business goals. Incorporates the organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs in manufacturing processes. Monitors production metrics and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • LMA of Plant Manager(s), Safety Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Maintenance Dept.
  • Develop, Champion and Administrator plantwide OEE program.
  • Oversees the warehouse layout and operations.
  • Lead weekly MFG/Maintenance meetings.
  • Project work and Capital Improvements.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Morale: Important company cheerleader. Responsible for fostering and actively participating in teams and team building.
  • Culture: Support and help drive desired Culture and Values.
  • Production: Support/Oversee all functions and departments in the plant through direct reports, advise and support, insure smooth and optimal operations of machinery, materials, and personnel.
  • Training & Development: Oversee mentoring and training of employees at all levels in the plant. Communicate with Leadership Team concerning all aspects of production. Determine staffing requirements. Responsible for production floor layout and flow of work through plant. Union: Contribute attendance and participation as needed, contribute to contract discussions, and provide advice as needed
  • .Waste/Lean: Support waste reduction and increasing lean policies through direct reports.
  • Quality/Non-value: Support the Quality Manager and other supervisors for all processes put in place to maintain or improve quality standards.
  • Oversee and support all certifications: Hold direct reports accountable for Certification initiatives including ISO 9001 enforcement, quality audits, validation requirements and traceability tasks.
  • Oversee and support Safety: Through direct reports ensure implementation of safety policy and assess compliance with policies. Make safety an integral component of all aspects of the company.
  • Scheduling: Support and serve as backup to scheduling activities when needed.
  • Machine Maintenance & Repair: Responsible for PM Programs and repair of plant equipment, assessment of condition of machinery and parts, real property including grounds, physical buildings, and associated systems.
  • Innovation: Insist on a culture of Operational Innovation and Continuous improvement.


Knowledge Skills/Abilities (KSA’s):

  • Communication Ability: Capable of communicating effectively in person, in writing, over the phone and in groups.
  • Analytical Ability: Able to understand and analyze complex information and abstract variables, drawing logical conclusions and/or providing reasonable and creative alternatives.
  • Computer Skills: Internet capable. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Management Experience: Broad industry experience or knowledge. Must have commensurate skills necessary to manage a firm like ours.
  • Math Ability: Excellent math ability. Able to do general business math: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, discounts, etc.
  • Work Environment: Capable of working in and traveling to typical office work and plant places.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to visit a variety of customers, vendors, and other outside locations.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
