Polymer Synthesis Scientist

The Polymer Synthesis Scientist will develop new unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy vinyl ester resins for composite applications. The individual will perform laboratory experiments and will participate in cross functional teams in the organization. Technical expertise is only part of the job. Interfacing with the business and operational groups within the organization, as well as with customers and suppliers will also be important aspects of the job. We are looking for someone who is innovative and is comfortable interacting with broad audiences.

Technical Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science
- Hands on experience with organic synthesis, catalyst development, polymer synthesis and formulation of resins to characterize them
- Hands on experience with analytical chemistry techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain scientific details to non-technical audiences
- Record of innovation
- Eligible to work in the US, Green Card Holders, or US Citizens
- Experience with polyesters or epoxy vinyl esters, thermoset resins, radical polymerization, composites and/or coatings
- Experience with thermoset composite molding processes
- Looking for a long-term position where the individual can grow and be promoted
- Up to 10% travel
