As a porter on the 8 Spruce team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean building and general janitorial duties, providing excellent customer service to our residents, and task as assigned.

What you will do: General janitorial duties; maintain assigned areas and cleaning schedule.
Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, walls, elevator walls and doors, lobby, and office door windows.
Remove trash from management and leasing offices.
Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones, elevator buttons.
Maintain cleaning inventory.
Maintain outdoor grounds.
Remove debris and snow from sidewalks.
When leaks occur, cleaning up apartment homes and common areas.
Assist team members with daily tasks.
Work closely with the Resident Manager and team members.
Be an ambassador of the property by answering resident questions and be generally helpful while always representing our cultural responsibilities.
Additional duties may be assigned by your supervisor.
What you should have:
A strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
A belief that doing the right thing is the only option, no matter how difficult it might be.
A willingness to respond to emergency situations no matter the time of day.
A valid driver's license must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
Ability to use tablet-based work order program to complete assigned work orders.
Basic – Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Able to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
Overtime is available and required in emergency situations.
Good time management and organizational skills
Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).

Hourly Rate: $20.97
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
