Position Open Until Filled


Responsibilities


  • Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
  • Develops lesson plans and assessments to effectively meet student needs
  • Develops IEPs and provides input to teachers to best meet the needs of students
  • Maintains safe and orderly environment
  • Communicates with parents/guardians
  • Maintains complete and accurate student records
  • Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
  • Monitors and assesses student achievement
  • Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings


Qualifications


  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Knowledge of best instructional practices for special education
  • Ability to integrate technology

Salary Range: From/To


22/23 Salary Scale: $46,419 - $84,968


Educational Supplement


Master's 7% of Base Salary


Teacher National Board $2,000.00


BA + 15 $750
