Job Description

The Global Procurement Manager - Engineered Components develops and oversees the strategic sourcing of an assigned category across Paloma Rheem Global while ensuring alignment to business units plants located throughout the world. This individual will track and report on market commodity drivers, support advanced design engineering, engage in new product implementation, and support plant operations. The role provides exposure to senior leadership by recommending sourcing plans, gaining consensus, and creating change throughout the organization. The Manager will continue to evolve the category strategy considering risk management and ensuring supply chains are optimized for best cost value. This position serves as the leader for the assigned category.

This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Roswell, GA (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Execute best in class supply chain practices, while ensuring alignment and adoption across the regional sourcing teams to develop achieve success in the following primary areas of value:
    • Spend analytics.
    • Global supply chain requirements
    • Sourcing strategies for global, regional, and local sourcing optimization
    • Strategic sourcing roadmap for a 5 – 10-year plan (including trend analysis and innovation)
    • Delivering best cost initiatives year over year
  • Lead and drive best value sourcing by developing category expertise pertaining to the world supply, technology, pricing, quality, availability, and risk mitigation. Build and maintain a market report with forecasts to enable the business to respond in advance to emerging trends and market disruptors.
  • Consult and collaborate closely with Global Business Units relative to supply chain needs, identifying best value opportunities, supporting sourcing for new product introduction, and identifying suppliers to execute the category strategy.
  • Oversee approved projects with Business Unit Sourcing, Materials Management, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Personnel to ensure project schedules and a smooth transition.
  • Develop written supply agreements with suppliers, addressing risk management and commodity index pricing. Maintain relationship with suppliers’ leadership to ensure commercial, service, and legal performance commitments.
  • Leads competitive benchmarking activities to identify and address including value opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in; Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience leading and supporting global sourcing initiatives.
  • Supplier negotiation and contract initiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen skills.
  • Record of accomplishment in supplier management maximizing the value of an agreement and realizing best in class cost, savings, delivery/service, and innovation.
  • Proven ability to drive business results.
  • Global supply chain requirements.
  • Sourcing strategies for global, regional, and local sourcing optimization.
  • Strategic sourcing roadmap for a 5 – 10-year plan (including trend analysis and innovation).
  • Delivering best cost initiatives year over year.
  • Project management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership with navigating in a matrix environment.
  • Self-driven/Motivated.
  • Frequent travel up to 50%, including international travel.
