Position Overview
To provide technical quality engineering support to the Customer Quality Engineering team, at the point of manufacturing, in the containment, analysis, and corrective actions related to zero-mile and warranty returns from our customers.
What You’ll Do
Investigate all manufacturing related customer returns using formal problem-solving tools, and documenting in CT+.
Lead cross-functional teams through the problem-solving process, as necessary.
Clarify customer expectations and communicate to the appropriate manufacturing team.
Prioritize quality issues and projects to be executed by the manufacturing team.
Provide pulse of customers to the manufacturing team using various communication channels.
Identify and coordinate continuous improvement activities within the assigned manufacturing area.
Assess risk and validate process changes within the manufacturing process.
Drive product/process improvements as early as possible in the manufacturing process (value stream), to ensure greatest company benefit.
Communicate continuous improvement opportunities to product development teams for new product launches based on lessons learned from field concerns.
Other duties as assigned.

What To Bring
4+ years of technical, quality or engineering-related degree and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
At least three years of automotive experience preferred with one year in quality.
Strong understanding of Gentex manufacturing processes and procedures.
Ability to understand and communicate engineering concepts, as well as manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with problem solving tools, CT+, and BI.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
