Production Trainer (Calihan)

As our Production Trainer, you will

• Train and assist new hires on their specific jobs.
• Participate in creating standardized training approaches and materials.
• Enforce all company-required safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor new hires’ work practices for safety and quality.
• Assure all appropriate training documentation is completed and recorded for each new hire.
• Attend and participate in meetings as required to identify training needs.
• Demonstrate and lead new hire exercises.
• Conduct new hire tours and set up after orientation.
• Keep in contact with new employees for any questions or concerns.
• Track safety equipment.
• Achieve new hire retention goals.
• Maintain continuous communication with new hire and their Foreperson or Lead throughout the on-the-job training.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
• Must be professional, results driven, and able to perform duties with minimal direction.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to successfully complete training
• Safety.
• Safe Quality Food (SQF).
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Food defense.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior training experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
• The ability to effectively communicate in French or Spanish (read, write, and speak).
• Prior production experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees across the organization.
• Good time management ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
