Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Programmer Analyst on an industry-leading medical coding application. The Pulse team is looking for full stack developers to enhance an application that is used 24 hours a day by a global team of medical coders and help create its repalcement. You will have a flexible mind and work closely with the product owners and several teams to enhance the existing application, while keeping an eye on the future and always looking to go beyond the status quo.

You don't have to be familiar with every technology (.NET, Azure DevOps, NPM, xUnit) we use, but a good grasp of basics and the ability to learn quickly is necessary. Most importantly, we seek talented, flexible, independent, communicative, efficient, solution-oriented engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Proven programming skills with strong object-oriented design
  • Software development experience/portfolio that demonstrates your application development experience using .Net
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with unit test, integration test, continuous integration, and deployment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Ability to generate high level architecture for new problems
  • Ability and desire to learn and work with new languages and technologies as needed
  • Ability to learn legacy applications quickly and independently
  • Ability to work independently
  • Net Framework (Legacy)/ASP.NET/.Net (Core)/C#
  • A belief that unit testing is essential
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with Git source control

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in few of these areas (or similar)
  • Microsoft Certifications in .Net / C#
  • Microsoft Certifications in .Net / MVC
  • Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server services / Database
  • Competent UI design skills
  • Experience with Web API development
  • Experience with Azure cloud services
  • Experience with unit testing in xUnit with AutoFixture and Moq
  • Experience with Node Package Manager (NPM), Gulp or Bower
  • Experience with VisualCron
  • Experience with NoSQL (Cosmos, Mongo, etc)
  • Experience with VueJS, React, Angular, etc
  • Experience in exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic data; preferably health related data using HL7 standards.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years of related experience

Physical Demands

The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required. Team Member may experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
