LHH is working with a client who is looking for an assistant project controller or project controller to join their team in Miami (Coconut Grove area). This candidate should have Real Estate development experience and condo assemblage experience would be a plus. This is an office position. Hours 9am-6pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly loan draws/capital calls across all development entities to request funding for project-related expenses
  • Preparation of internal development budgets across all ongoing projects on a monthly basis, detailing cost-to-date figures vs. overall project budgets
  • Reviewing and approving invoices across all related entities, initially entered by A/P department
  • Cash Management - committing previously approved invoices for payment on weekly basis, across all entities, based on timing of receipt of funds from capital calls/loan draws submitted to lenders/partners
  • Direct contact with property management companies across all operating entities regarding payment of owner-related expenses, budget variances, internal cash transfers, RE tax payments, etc.
  • Reconciliation of monthly admin/developer fees from operating & development properties
  • Coordinating and preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements on monthly/annual basis; reviewing staff-prepared financials for various entities, prior to submittal externally
  • Ensuring equity pickup for upper tier entities across all projects is completed on a quarterly basis in Yardi
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors across all entities
  • Coordinating activities of external tax preparers across all reporting entities
  • Coordinating bank account setup/funds transfer at closing of all newly acquired properties; setup of multiple entities in Yardi post-closing
  • Coordination of distributions to partners from operating/development properties when required

Requirements:

  • Real estate development experience is required (multifamily or residental experience)
  • Condo experience is a huge plus
  • Yardi experience
